Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a dress code?
There is no formal dress code. We recommend that you dress for the type of entertainment you are going to attend. For the classical art forms like opera, ballet, and orchestra, we recommend business or business casual. For Broadway musicals, we recommend business casual dress. For children’s theatre, comedy performances, or concerts, we recommend casual attire. We want you to be comfortable, so please know that these are just suggestions.  For safety reasons, guests must wear shoes inside our buildings.

When should I arrive?
The theater will open for seating 30 minutes prior to the scheduled curtain time for most performances. We recommend you are at the venue at that time. For more information visit our Plan Your Visit page.

What if I’m late to the show?
Depending on the performance, a seating hold may be in place. These timed holds are determined by the presenting company. Seating holds restrict when ushers can late-seat patrons after the performance begins to ensure minimal disruption to performers and fellow audience members. We will seat you as soon as possible after the seating hold.

Does my child need a ticket?
Yes. All patrons regardless of age must have a ticket to ensure capacity and fire code in our venues. Some presenters will make lap tickets available for children. Please contact our Box Office at (502) 584-7777 with questions regarding availability and rates for such tickets.

Do you offer accessibility services?
Yes, we offer a wide range of accessibility options, please visit our Accessibility Services page or call the Access Services Hotline at (502) 566-5111 (V) or (502) 566-5140 (TTY).

Is there a cell phone policy? What about recording?
For the overwhelming majority of performances, photography, audio/video recording, and broadcast services (like FaceTime) are prohibited. We will post signage informing patrons of policy modifications. When you enter the venue, we do ask that you please silence all devices including watches. You may exit the theatre if you need to make a call or text. Your fellow audience members thank you!

What if I can’t make my show?
If possible, please contact us prior to the start of the performance at (502) 584-7777. Tickets are nonrefundable, but other options may be available to you depending on the performance.

What happens if I lose my ticket?
Your tickets may be reprinted, which will render the originals invalid. Contact our box office at (502) 584-7777 or visit the box office prior to your performance and a representative will assist you. Policies regarding ticket delivery or will call pick up may vary at the request of the presenting organization.

Do you offer discounts?
Ticket prices, including discount offers, are determined by the presenting organization and vary by show. For information specific to the event you are interested in, please contact the box office at (502) 584-7777.
